Two Free Invitations for You: Wine and Spirits Colleagues Share Their Work with Data

I’d like to invite you to two free events that have been created for the specific purpose of bridging the gap between data on one hand, and wine and spirits on the other.

(Sound familiar?)

By now we are all deeply familiar with online tastings, virtual webinars and even digital conferences, originating mostly from wineries, brands and organizations in order to generate interest and education around their products.

This time, however, the originators are coming from the other end of our spectrum of interest, namely the people who work in data.

The company is called Qlik. They’re a critical component of the software suite that Enolytics uses, particularly to create effective (and beautiful IMO) visualizations that illustrate the insights we’ve gleaned from our clients’ data.

Recently they’ve picked up on the work we’ve been doing in wine and spirits, and they want to get the word out there – around data literacy and the power of analytics to help a business’ bottom line, for sure.

But also because wine and spirits is a cool business. We work in a very appealing and dynamic industry, and it’s worth highlighting a creative, unusual application of a data tool to an end product like wine and spirits.

Which brings us to these two events next week, and the stories that two of our clients tell about how we’re working together to use data to improve their business.

I hope very much that you’ll join us.

The first, on Tuesday at 1 pm EST / 10 am PST, is a LinkedIn Live event that’s an episode of Qlik’s Data Brilliant – Unplugged series. It’s hosted by Kate Strachnyi, and features Jake Lustig, National Sales Director for Haas Brothers. The focus here is depletion data for a spirits company. You’ll find more information and a link to register here.

The second event, on Thursday at 2 pm EST / 11 am PST, is a Qlik Virtual Power Hour+. Our segment features Michael Longerbeam, DTC Manager at Dry Creek Vineyard in Sonoma, and the focus is on ecommerce for a winery. You’ll find more information and a link to register here.

Data is an interesting twist of the kaleidoscope for wine and spirits. Wine and spirits is also an interesting twist of the kaleidoscope for data.

Let’s see what we see.

I’ll meet you there.

Thank you,

Cathy
