No One Was More Surprised Than Me: Entirely Unexpected Uses of Enolytics

No one was more surprised than me.

As an entrepreneur, you have control over your vision and how it’s executed. Curiously, what is not under your control is how anyone else interprets that vision and puts it to use.

Here are four examples of entirely unplanned and unexpected ways that people (our clients) have put Enolytics to use in the past two months.

  1. To demonstrate quantified growth to a lending bank as part of a divorce settlement between the winery’s owners

  2. To assess, and make a case for, the build-out of a second winery in relation to their established customer base, their purchasing trends, and their growth forecast

  3. To flesh out the financial prospectus for potential investors

  4. To counter legal claims that after-hours events are less about restaurant service and more about wine sales.

Enolytics is rooted squarely in wine, viticulture, data analysis and software development. That is our home base, and the space we know natively.

As we have evolved and matured as a business, and as our early adopters have become more advanced users, we have become associated with the larger ecosystems of #fintech and #agtech.

We didn’t initially “identify” as those things. Yet here we are, because of the human scale of those four applications above, from divorce to growth to raising capital to legal entanglements. These are the people of our community. These are the realities of their businesses, and their lives.

We want to help. We can help, no matter the label or the hashtag.

Surprised, yes. But gently and happily and readily so.

Thank you, as always, for your support and engagement along the way. It makes a difference.

Cathy
