October Wine Revenue Tip: Boost Sales with #MerlotMe

Welcome to October, Part Two!

Last week we talked about identifying a highly-lucrative segment of your winery's database, namely the "gifters" who send gift boxes of wine during the holidays to family, friends, co-workers and colleagues.

That's one step in the right direction of a revenue-boosted start to the end-of-year holiday season.

Here's another one: #MerlotMe, or October as International Merlot Month.

If Merlot is part of your portfolio, how can you leverage the #MerlotMe occasion to sell more of it?

Here are two ideas - low-hanging fruit - of what's possible within the Enolytics DTC software:

  1. Identify customers in your database who have bought Merlot from you in the past. (It's easy to do this in our Advanced Reporting module.) Filter further by people who have bought Merlot from you in past Octobers, or past holiday seasons, or those who have bought Merlot in your Tasting Room and/or through your website.

  2. You could also look at what your customers also bought, when they bought Merlot. (There's a link in the software called "What Was Sold Together," which services as a basket analysis tool.) This is effective for cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

The best part? Even if you are not already using the Enolytics software, it is not too late to take advantage of our 30-day trial period and leverage the tools this holiday season.

If you already use the software and want some hands-on help with either of these ideas, above, just let us know or schedule time on the calendar. We'd be glad to help.

We hope very much that your holiday season is starting off with strong momentum. We look forward, as always, to hearing what's on your mind for all things wine + data.

Thank you for reading, and for your ongoing support -
Cathy
