Why Not Just Make Wineries’ Lives Easier?

“We can make people’s lives so much easier. So why wouldn’t we?”

That what Chris, Enolytics’ co-founder, said this week as he updated me on his ongoing conversations with new clients who are using our ecommerce platform.

I started to notice a pattern.

  • One client, a Commerce7 customer, was spending a lot of time (far too much time…) reconciling Card Connect data with transaction data.

  • Another client, a WineDirect customer, wanted to manage their Tasting Room inventory by understanding how many bottles were being picked up at a time.

  • Another client, also a WineDirect customer, was interested in using source code and sales attribute fields more productively.

None of these challenges were intended explicitly to be solved by Enolytics’ analytics software, but the data is THERE, waiting to be leveraged for the task at hand.

The wineries just don’t know how.

That’s where Enolytics comes in. We listen to the pain points, to the sentences that begin with “I wish I could…” or “I just don’t know how to…” or “Isn’t there an easier way…?”

We listen to the challenges and understand the problem from the wineries’ perspective. We demonstrate a solution that, if it doesn’t already exist, then becomes part of the next software update to the software so that every winery on the system will benefit.

We’re seeing how we could help. We’re seeing how to make it easier for our customers to reconcile their systems, which means losing less time on manual reporting tasks.

Wineries work incredibly hard at that, but it’s heartbreaking when we know how much easier it can be. The data is THERE, and in many cases we can facilitate completing the tasks that winery people need to do.

We just need to start that conversation.

Our goal here is to eliminate hours (or days… or weeks…) of unnecessary labor, poring over reports and spreadsheets that keep the parts of wine businesses separate and siloed rather than integrated and working together.
