Why the Wine Star Award Nomination is a Win for All of Us

This week, Enolytics was nominated as Innovator of the Year in the Wine Star Awards, hosted by Wine Enthusiast Media.

Here’s the excerpt:

Over the past year, the data analytics firm Enolytics forged several key partnerships with firms such as Commerce7, WineDirect and Vermont Information Processing that help wineries find success in both the direct-to-consumer and wholesale markets. Enolytics co-founder Cathy Huyghe is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, where she spreads a message of how the company is really about empowering winery staff to feel confident using the data they already have to make better decisions and reach company goals.

First, we are grateful for this recognition. Sincere thanks to the people at the Editorial, Sales, Events and Marketing teams who submitted us for consideration.

Second, we think it’s totally a win for all of us who care about the success and growth of our industry, and who want to use data and analytics to get there.

Why?

It has to do with empowering, which is for me the most crucial word in the text above.

The truth is that the data is yours. It has, also, always been there. Yes, the Enolytics software makes it more visible and usable for driving your growth. Which is another way of saying that it is empowering.

That is indeed an innovation we’re proud to contribute.

The second most crucial word, I think, is confident. That’s what I’d like to highlight in the coming weeks: examples from wineries who have embraced the process of working with data, who have put in the effort to learn something different, and who have gained confidence through demonstrated results.

To my mind, that is the win of this nomination.

Others have done it. You can too. I would love to help.

Please be in touch. Here’s the link to schedule some time on my calendar. I’d be so psyched to see you succeed too.

Thank you for reading, and for your ongoing support and encouragement —

Cathy
