Wine + Data Success Story: Quady Winery Sees ROI (and Then Some) after Just One Campaign

How often do you see a return on your investment — any investment — within just a few weeks?

And how often does that happen in the wine world?

Not often tbh, which is exactly why we’re highlighting it this week as our “success story” series continues.

Quady Winery, in California’s San Joaquin Valley, realized enough revenue in less than two weeks (actually from their first campaign with Enolytics) to pay the annual cost of the software subscription and then some. All additional revenue is, as they say, gravy, for the remaining 11.5 months of their subscription.

The time Enolytics spends with the Quady team “has been hugely helpful in showing them, step by step, how to run a campaign to a targeted audience,” said Allie Quady Shaylor, Chief Sustainability and Community Officer for the winery. “I think we are just at the beginning of a journey with our data that will hopefully be about empowering the communications and DTC team to regularly run targeted campaigns with confidence and see results within a few days.”

Which is exactly what happened.

Quady’s team reached out to customers who hadn’t purchased wine from them in the last one to five years. Expectations were low — these were lapsed customers, after all — but results were so strong that the price of the software was covered within the first few days after sending the email campaign. Even better, the AOV increased by $25.

“I’m amazed at all of the data we have access to and the kinds of lists and reports we are able to generate and turn into actionable campaigns to drive sales and brand awareness,” said Chloë Tatro, Quady’s Communications Editor and Strategist. “The sky seems to be the limit!”

Here’s the thing: the DTC data that Quady has access to, as Chloë said, has always been there. It’s there for your winery too. You just need to get to it in a friendlier, more accessible way. That’s where Enolytics comes in.

Let me know if you’d like us to help you realize these kinds of results too. It’s why we’re here, and it’s our mission for the wine industry.

Drop me a note anytime.

Let’s get started making you more money too.

Thank you, as always, for reading —

Cathy
