The Very Best Takeaway from This Week’s Q1 2022 Webinar

Our thanks, very much so, to those of you who took the time on Wednesday this week to tune into the Q1 2022 webinar, in partnership with WineDirect. No worries if you missed it – you’re welcome to watch a recording of the webinar here.

There were some compelling takeaways that wineries can take action on, straight away. For starters, Tasting Room activity in Q1 was the surprising performer with the strongest results we’ve seen in five years. However, that pace has slowed significantly already in Q2.

It’s something that we’ll be watching closely for our Q2 report, due out in July.

It’s also an opportunity for wineries to prepare for potentially slower foot traffic in their Tasting Rooms this summer. That means, in part, bolstering Wine Club outreach and engagement, particularly when “feeder traffic” from the Tasting Room could be less than average.

The question is, how to do that? What are best practices, fun ideas, and successful strategies for retaining current Club members and enticing new members to sign up?

The answer brings us to my personal favorite “best takeaway” from this week’s Q1 2022 webinar: A willingness to share ideas on the topic, whether that’s highest-end offerings to top-spending customers, or in-market visits for Club member hot spots and their guests, or right-priced offerings for younger customers. Or any number of other suggestions.

It inspired me to imagine a “working group” of marketers, Club managers and Tasting Room staff, where we dive into challenges and brainstorm solutions, particularly when those solutions are informed by data and driven by analysis.

How does that sound to you? Are you in?

If your winery isn’t using the Enolytics’ software yet to access that kind of analysis, now’s your chance. Honestly, there’s never been a better time, between the headwinds brewing against us and our 30-day free trial offer.
